Media Markt and Alcampo: the Romeo and Juliet of retail
In the middle of a running joke-war between supermarkets and big-box stores (the famous «Ruka Gate»), Alcampo threw at Media Markt the very bait that had blown up in its own face.
«Nuestros padres se odian pero tú y yo <3 para siempre.»
Romeo and Juliet, but with deals on small appliances. The rivalry died of tenderness.
